The water bath heater is a device used for heating fluids through indirect heat transfer. It is commonly used in various industrial processes, such as oil and gas production, refineries, chemical plants, and power generation.

 

Working Principles
The water bath heater operates on the principle of heat exchange between the bath fluid and the fluid being heated. The heater consists of a heat exchanger, a burner or electric heating element, and a fully enclosed water bath. The burner or heating element heats the water in the bath, and the heat is transferred to the fluid being heated through the heat exchanger. The fluid flows through the exchanger, absorbing heat from the water bath, and exits the heater at the desired temperature.

Water bath heaters find extensive use in the oil and gas industry for heating crude oil, natural gas, and other process fluids. They are often employed in wellhead facilities, pipeline operations, and gas processing plants. Additionally, water bath heaters are utilized in refineries for pre-heating crude oil before entering the process units. They are also used for heating various chemicals in chemical plants and for providing heat in power generation facilities.
